The Minister of Education and Science issued an order on the new list of professions for vocational education, and thanks to the efforts of NOCA in the person of its chairman Prof. Dr. Momchil Antov, the profession of "Customs Service" was also confirmed as part of the field of education "Business Administration", specialisation "Accounting and Taxation".
There is a great need for specialists in the private sector with good knowledge and skills in the field of customs, and finding them in the labour market is currently a real challenge for any employer in need (trader of goods to or from third countries of the EU, manufacturer, forwarder or carrier). The inclusion of the customs service profession in the portfolio of the country's vocational high schools is an important step towards providing sufficiently trained specialists in the field of customs representation and customs clearance of import, export and transit goods.
NOMA will continue to support vocational training in this area in cooperation with all interested parties involved - MES, schools, teachers and students.
